Exciting News- New Illume Design Blog!

I have been away from blogging for the last week or so as I have been creating a brand new blog. After pulling my hair out, trying to figure out html and the help of a good friend (thanks Adam) I finally got there. Please pop on over to say hello; www.illumedesign.com.au/blog/

Now, This blog has a different web address, the old blog will still be up, but I wont be blogging there any more. My new blog has all my old post plus a few new ones...it is now hosted on my web site www.illumedesign.com.au (hence the change)

I haven't managed to get the google friend connect sidebar to work, so if any of you bloggers out there have any insights ...I would love your feedback.. Im using wordpress

I received a very sweet email the other day from one of my lovely customer who had ordered some stationery from my shop at Illume Design. I designed her christening invitations, thank you cards and bomboniere for her daughter's christening.

Kid's Party Inspiration - Circus Theme

Baby Announcement Card for Jacob

I have just created this Giraffe Baby Announcement Card for my cute little nephew Jacob that was born this year. I still have to print them out, when done my Sister in Law will be posting them out in the mail to all her family and friends.

Print & Pattern Post

I am so excited that Illume Design has been featured on the blog Print & Pattern. This is a wonderful blog that celebrates the world of surface pattern design, you will find textiles, cards, gift wrap, stationery, wallpaper, tableware, books, illustration, and anything that fits in with the love of printed patterns and motifs. If you haven't already visited the website you should check it out, as it is just fabulous.

I have been following this blog since 2006, I discovered the website when I was designing ceramics for a company called HWI, my designs where sold to Myer, David Jones, Big W, Target, Kmart and even Spotlight. I would check Print & Pattern first thing every morning at work while drinking my cup of tea. I found it very inspirational and it helped me to keep up with the latest trends from around the world it also helped me to design new and exciting products. I feel honored to be featured on such a great website. This has truly made my day.

Aleksandar's birdie mobile

I was given this beautiful birdie mobile to me from a friend at my baby shower, isn't it just delightful? Aleksandar seems to be fascinated by the two little birds that twinkle around up there. My son is now 10 weeks and 3 days, I cant believe how quickly time flies. It seems just only yesturday I was waddling around like a whale, wondering if my son was ever going to pop into this world.

I want to introduce the newest little member to the Illume Design team. Aleksandar Lazendic born on the 27th of December 2009. I couldn't wait to send out these baby announcement cards to all my family and friends. After designing so many for customers, its so lovely to be able to use this design for my own little bundle of joy!
